My trip to Florence was awesome!! Antoinette showed my friend Melissa and I all around Florence. It's a beautiful city.

On Monday the 8th we got a couple inches of SNOW in Barcelona!! It was very unexpected and outlandish. The girls in our residence hall were having a ball in the snow! They loved it! as did my friends and I, we had a snowball fight with everyone outside. On our way home from classes the bus driver pulled over and had everyone get out because he couldn't drive in the snow and they closed most of the streets by evening. Most of the trees couldn't handle the weight of the snow and a lot of branches came down. The palm trees survived though! Barcelona hasn't seen snow in 25 years and even then it was just flurries. So we all had a blast in the snow but it was very weird for Barcelona in March!

We have been having some beautiful beach days! It's not warm enough to lay out but I'm hoping it will get warmer by the time my visitor's arrive!

Over the past couple of weekends my friends and I stuck around in Barcelona to do some site seeing. We visit Parc Guell which is has beautiful views from the top of the mountain and it is all designed by Gaudi so the buildings are also very pretty and unique. We went to the Chocolate Museum which had a lot of sculptures made from chocolate and films about Mr. Nestle, who began everyone's chocolate addiction! The ticket we bought to get into the place was a bar of chocolate (with no dairy!) so we all got chocolate! We also went to the Picasso Museum, he doesn't have a lot of his famous work in Barcelona they are in Madrid but they had a lot of work done by him. I enjoyed reading about his life and seeing his paintings and work reflect his experiences. We have also been visiting the beach at Port Olympic, its a beautiful place and there are always people out enjoying it. Cant wait till it gets even warmer over here!

Switzerland was a lot of fun! But a bit cold...actually very cold. but we still managed to have fun! my friends and I took a train up to the mountains and went sledding! We visited Lake Geneva and mostly stuck around that town because that's where our hostel was. It was a fun trip but we were all glad to get back to our Barcelona weather. Next up is Florence! I am visiting a friends from Buffalo there who are studying abroad. We are going the 12th to 14th of march.
